ABOUT
Tobin Communications LLC is headed up by Patricia (Patty) Tobin who brings a solid background in journalism, marketing and public affairs to her work as a seasoned public relations professional. Tenacious and resourceful, her axiom is to leave “no stone unturned” in the pursuit of media exposure for the products, services, and issues she publicizes.
This has yielded tremendous results and a demand for repeat business. Patty is also a strong strategic and analytical thinker, and a consummate researcher. The industries Patty has serviced are diverse – including health care, financial services, technology, authors, and associations, along with philanthropic initiatives of major corporations.
Patty has consulted with the nation’s top public relations firms – including Edelman, FleishmanHillard, Cohn & Wolfe, Burson-Marsteller, HealthStar (now Centron), Bliss Integrated, Zeno Group, and RX Mosaic Health.
Editorial Experience: As a freelance writer, Patty wrote articles for United Press International (while in New Delhi, India); established and wrote the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s community investment newsletter and annual report to Congress; wrote for the Brooklyn Eagle; and for five years contributed to Premier Hospital Services Report and Internet Gaming International. She also edited the Daily Bulletin for the American Psychiatric association, wrote for the NYU alumnae magazine, and was sent on assignment to Haiti and Mexico for Travel Agent. Patty has also consulted with top local and national nonprofit agencies (such as the Local Initiatives Support Corporation) – writing fundraising proposals, case studies, and media materials.
Patty Tobin works closely with a network of PR professionals, social media experts, and writers in a variety of fields – including healthcare, law, financial, and broadcast.
Education: Ms. Tobin holds a B.A. cum laude from New York University, and a master’s degree from NYU’s Robert Wagner School of Public Service. She completed graduate work in journalism and international affairs at Columbia University.
